[AL-Directors] 2025 Teen Internship Grants Open January 13th

Hello everyone,

Just in case you thought the Teen Internship Grant was only for public libraries, we wanted to let you all know this could work well for an academic library. In 2022, we had a successful teen internship with Willamette University's Law Library.

If staff are off contract during the summer, grant funds can be used for staff time as well as covering the intern's wages. The age range for the intern is 16-19, so while targeted at juniors and seniors, if you have a program working with incoming students, that may be a good place to recruit (which is what Willamette did).

All this to say, we want to make sure this opportunity will work for an academic library that wants to participate! Please let me or Tamara know if you have any questions.

Tuesday, January 7th at 9am
Friday, January 10th at 1pm
