Greetings directors!

I wanted to share these two upcoming learning opportunities that are available for free to you and your staff - please feel free to forward this email to your staff.

  1. The Washington Library Association is hosting a Trauma-Informed Library Online Summit on November 14. The State Library of Oregon is offering FREE registration through a discount code. You can learn more about the summit<https://www.wla.org/2025-trauma-informed-libraries-summit> and staff can request their discount code and registration instructions by signing up here<https://www.cognitoforms.com/StateLibraryOfOregon/RequestFreeRegistrationForWLASummit>.

  1. The Orbis Cascade Alliance is launching their Accessibility Speaker Series<https://www.orbiscascade.org/about/events/meetings/a11y-speakers/> early next month:

As compliance dates for the updated federal web content accessibility regulations (ADA Title II and HHS Section 504) approach, library and archives workers have expressed interests and needs for more defined support to strengthen preparations in targeted library functional areas.

All webinars are open and free to Alliance members<https://www.orbiscascade.org/about/members/>, affiliate participants<https://www.orbiscascade.org/about/affiliate-participants/>, and staff at academic libraries in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. This includes all of you in Oregon academic libraries!

The first webinar will be on Wednesday, November 5, from 2:00 - 3:00p PT: Web Content Accessibility Regulations: Updates in Conversation<https://www.orbiscascade.org/about/events/meetings/a11y-speakers/#a11y-regs> with Judy Risch, Title IX & Equity Access Services Special Advisor, Grand River Solutions.
