World AIDS Orphans Day is an internationally recognized day established to
draw attention to and advocate on behalf of the more than 15 million
children orphaned by AIDS around the globe. Join us in raising awareness
about this important global challenge by attending *The Art of Resilience:
Innovation, *a community conversation in honor of World AIDS Orphans’ Day
2012.



Join us for an evening of inspirational and thought provoking speakers.
There will be a World Market and information from over 20 international
organizations working directly or indirectly with HIV/AIDS patients and
families. Enjoy complementary delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and
non-alcoholic beverages, and music for a “Party with a heart!”

*Keynote:* *Cristina Pena*

Cristina, an ambassador of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation,
will describe her journey as a child born with HIV. She will also present
the moving story of the Glaser Foundation.



Speaker: *Louis Picker*, MD, Associate Director of the Vaccine and Gene
Therapy Institute, OHSU: “Art and Innovation in Science—How Science Works.”

Speaker: *Adam Bacher*, Photographer: “The Resiliency of HIV Positive Kids
and AIDS Orphans.”

Moderator: *Michael Kaplan*, CEO, Cascade AIDS Project
