Below is an email I just received about a possible Summer Reading performer. This is not an endorsement, please check references to make sure this is a good fit for your library and community.

Katie, My name is Rick Kelley, and I just wanted to make you aware of my extremely interactive reading program that I have performed all over the U. S. for kids called, "Don't Just Sit There. . . Read Something". It involves singalongs, dancealongs, hula hooping and even my writing an original song with the kids. All fitting in perfectly with the"Be Creative @ The Library" theme in 2009. Please check my web site www.rklive.com (click on the Family bullet and then the Library bullet to get a description) OR I can send you a DVD and flyer. I will be in your State in the summer of 2009 and would love to share my program with as many interested Library branches as possible. I would be very interested in any showcase opportunities you might recommend. Please pass this on and thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Rick Kelley
