The 2009 Oregon Summer Reading Certificates are here!

Children and teens 0-18 years old may receive a certificate by 1) completing the summer reading program at their local library, or 2) reading or listening to 10 books and submitting the list of those 10 books, signed by a parent or guardian, to a school or public librarian or teacher. Please note that you do not need to keep the lists, but you may want to keep track of how many you receive so you can report those statistics in the Fall.

30,300 English and 4,260 Spanish certificates were pre-ordered this year by school and public libraries. These pre-orders started going out two weeks ago and will continue to be sent out over the next few weeks. If you can't remember whether or not you pre-ordered certificates please ask Mary Mayberry at mary.l.mayberry at state.or.us.

To order FREE hardcopies of the certificates please email Mary Mayberry at mary.l.mayberry at state.or.us. Be sure to include your name, phone number, address you would like them sent to, and how many in English/Spanish you want.

The English and Spanish certificates will be available to download and print from the internet. I will send out another email with the appropriate link as soon as it is available.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
