Hi! The Early Learning Council wants to know...

  * Is your library doing anything for the Week of the Young Child?
  * If you are, what are you doing? (keep it brief, one or two sentences is sufficient)
  * Is your library doing anything for Dia de los ninos/Dia de los libros-Children's Day/Book Day?
  * If you are, what are you doing? (keep it brief, one or two sentences is sufficient)

The Week of the Young Child is annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This year it is taking place April 14-20 and the theme is 'Early Years Are Learning Years'. Learn more online at: http://www.naeyc.org/woyc.

Dia de los ninos/dia de los libros-Children's Day/BookDay is a nationally recognized initiative emphasizing the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds. It is a celebration of children, families and reading that culminates on April 30th every year. It is based on the traditional Mexican holiday El dia de los ninos.
