Please pardon the cross-posting.
The National Academies Press (NAP) added a new report to their offerings: Identifying and Supporting Productive STEM Programs in Out-of-School Settings. Some library staff may be interested in the findings. As a matter of fact, the report mentions a partnership in Portland that includes the Multnomah County Library.
You can access the resource online: http://www.nap.edu/catalog/21740/identifying-and-supporting-productive-stem-programs-in-out-of-school-settings.
Most (all?) NAP offerings are available to read online or to download as a PDF for free.
There are several other publications about STEM and about Next Generation Science Standards.
