[kids-lib] Upcoming STEM trainings

OregonASK is offering two STEM trainings in Wilsonville, one about automotive inventing on 4/6 and one about the science of birds (ornithology) on 4/16. These trainings are for people who do programming for school-age kids when school is out (i.e. out of school time providers). You provide the summer reading program and other programs throughout the year for school-age kids when they are not in school so you are an out of school time provider and welcome to attend these trainings! BirdSleuth: Habitat Connections Ornithology Curriculum for Afterschool Programs
Saturday, April 16th, 2016

In this training, participants will explore the curriculum Cornell Ornithology: Habitat Connections and strategies for implementing 10 lessons of hands on science activities. Participants will also explore how to use citizen science tools to create learning opportunities in the field. Training participants will be expected to implement activities and collect feedback on each before September 2016.
