Please pardon the cross-posting.
See the email below if you are interested in signing up to be notified about upcoming library makerspace virtual tours.
I asked the organizer, Amy Vecchione, what types of libraries would be featured, and this is her response: "We plan to present a mix of all types, and we will be announcing the first round of virtual tours in the next week."

Subject: [Libs-Or] Library Makerspaces: Virtual Tours
Good morning!
This came my way via the PNLA mailing list and is from Amy Vecchione, Idaho Library Association President. The opportunity below seems like a great way to either share your expertise in Makerspaces or to learn more (or both!)
Hello, library folks who work in makerspaces or do maker programs!
Erika Rydberg (Plymouth State University) and I are going to host 3-4 library makerspace virtual tours the first half of spring 2018, and we'd like you to join in!
If you are interested in learning and sharing about makerspaces in a free, casual, online environment, please use this link<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe2Pj6Pwn3STQlU8_TdAzcywDIi6MCEAhvRpbeFM7ouJM_40w/viewform> (Google form) to share your email address, and we will notify you of the upcoming presentations.
If you want to present, or want to nominate someone who is a great maker and/or has a great makerspace - please share that in the form as well.
Please feel free to share this!
Thank you,
Amy Vecchione ("vekky-own"), MLIS
Head Emerging Technologies & Experiential Learning and Associate Professor

MakerLab
The MakerLab Albertsons Library offers free makerspace services, including 3D printers, glue guns, a CNC machine, low resolution prototyping materials, and a great community of learners.
Fast Facts:
o six 3D printers (LulzBot and Form 2)
o the printers are used 1000 hours per month
o each printer runs about 12 hours per day
o 300 reservations are made each month
o anyone can learn how to use these emerging technologies
o over 500 Boise State students, staff, and faculty regularly use the makerspace
My Research: I study, present, and publish about designing equitable services for emerging technologies.
Cheers,
Darci Hanning, MLIS
