[kids-lib] Slime for a crowd?

I don't know about a crowd, but we did have a slime making program for 2nd-5th graders here at Salem Public for about 30 kids and their grown-ups. It was great fun, but...
* for some kids, the stirring necessary to make the reaction fully take place was just too long, which resulted in them often coming up to you with their hands full of slime, yes, no longer over their bowl, asking how to fix it.
* Shaving cream was a great addition, and contact lens solution was the most reliable catalyst.
* We wanted the kids to practice measuring skills, but really, for a crowd, having premeasured portions, or volunteers to measure out portions is a must. If measurements are off more than a little bit, yuck.
* We had the kids take their slime home in Ziploc bags, and had sparkles and beads for them to add.
* Clean-up will take you twice as long as the program. Maybe three times as long.
But like I said, it was an enormous success with the kids. We're planning to have one again (just as soon as the volunteers forgive us for the last one.)

Hi! Beaverton City Library is hosting a 'Science Geek Out Fest' this spring (on a Saturday for kids and teens in grades K-8 and their families), and my coworker and I would love for people to be able to make and take some slime. Has anyone had kids and teens make slime at a large-scale event and would want to share any tips?
