If you currently offer summer meals at your library, work with a summer meals site, or in some way support summer meals in your community, you are welcome to attend a Summer Meals Listening Session to offer feedback to ODE about your experience. See registration below.

I'll be attending The Dalles session, so if you are unable to come but would like me to offer feedback on your behalf, please let me know what you'd like me to share via an e-mail or phone call before November 20th and I'll be happy to take it!

Good Afternoon,
The Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Program offices invite you to attend a listening session for Summer Food Service Program sponsors, partners and community organizations. As key partners to many of our schools and non-profit organization sponsors, we value your experiences and thoughts on expanding summer meal programs throughout all areas of our state. This year we are holding two listening sessions. Please come to share your thoughts and ideas, network with area sponsors and partners and collectively brainstorm ways that we can feed more in the summers to come.

Summer Partners' Listening Session
Now that summer is over, we want to take the time to celebrate all of our efforts and capture our experiences and lessons learned while they are still fresh in our minds, and of course, start planning for the future.

Please join the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs staff and other non-profit partners for a Summer Partners' Listening Session.

Participate in a discussion of successes and barriers experienced over the summer, thoughts on summer reviews, and feedback on summer waivers and their importance to summer meal programs. We are eager to hear from you and discuss ways in which we can work together to increase opportunities.
