[kids-lib] 2022 ALA Youth Media Award Winners

Hello everyone,

Yesterday there were some awesome awards announced at the Youth Media Awards! There are many, many, many great storytellers for kids and teens on this list. I was particularly happy to see Nikki  Grimes’ Virginia Hamilton Lifetime Achievement award, I’ve loved her Bronx Masquerade for a long time. And of course there are many other excellent creators who were not mentioned! You may appreciate this list curated by Sonja Somerville at Salem Public Library, for the OYAN mock Printz Awards – “But what about these<https://docs.google.com/document/d/17pFUsWw4llUfu20MxbCqWjutPM6O8sZz1I1bbZu-2w4/edit?usp=sharing>?” – titles OYAN members really loved but could not be added. 😊

I am so grateful for the storytellers who keep pushing stories forward in these continued challenging times, how lucky we are to be part of sharing them!
