[cid:image004.jpg at 01DA7548.E2A2B4E0]Hi Folks,

For those who may not have heard, Unite Against Book Bans<https://uniteagainstbookbans.org/> (UABB) now provides book resumes<https://bookresumes.uniteagainstbookbans.org/> for titles frequently challenged in school and public libraries. According to their FAQ<https://bookresumes.uniteagainstbookbans.org/about-faq/> and the ALA press release<https://www.ala.org/news/press-releases/2024/02/unite-against-book-bans-announces-free-book-r-sum-resource>, UABB partnered with the publishing community to create and maintain the resumes.

What's a book resume? It's a document that has key information about the book - synopsis, reviews, awards, accolades, and more - the same information that library staff may be asked to gather when a book is being challenged. A book resume is an advocacy tool that can save you time.

If you are involved with a book challenge situation, don't go through it alone. Instead, please reach out for assistance. And, if you hear about a challenge situation, please share these resources.
