Please pardon the cross-posting.

Hi Folks,

I'm sharing the following because I am occasionally asked about author visits.

Alice Faye Duncan<https://alicefayeduncan.com/> is available for virtual or in-person author visits in January to present "Dr. King & Music from the Movement."

Expect "an interactive author visit organized to celebrate Dr. King throughout the month of January 2025. Alice Faye Duncan, a librarian, National Board Educator, and award-winning author, will guide students through a 45-minute presentation filled with singing, dancing, and the dramatization of her two books, I GOTTA SING<https://www.publishersweekly.com/9780593578261> and THIS TRAIN IS BOUND FOR GLORY<https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/708824/this-train-is-bound-for-glory-by-alice-faye-duncan-illustrated-by-paul-kellam/>. In celebration of the light and life of Dr. King, this presentation will explore how music touched the hearts of young activists and encouraged them to march for justice with Dr. King during dangerous times. This literacy program is suited for early learners from Pre-K - 3rd grade."

Best,
Jen
