Hello everyone,

Whew, it's Friday! As school comes to an end for many districts around the state, I want to shout out our school library staff across the state who do so much for our young folks when they're in (and out of!) school buildings.

(a LOT!) And this recent issue brief<https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/lpro/Publications/Oregon%20Public%20School%20Librarians%20-%20Issue%20Brief%20(May%202025).pdf> beautifully highlights the state of school librarians in Oregon. Speaking of school libraries, the OASL Fall Conference<https://sites.google.com/oasl.olaweb.org/oasl-2025?usp=sharing> is pretty awesome, I'm so glad I got to go last year.  It's happening again October 4th in Eugene with the theme Open Books, Open Minds, and they're currently accepting session proposals<https://ola.memberclicks.net/oasl-conferences>. If you've been working with your schools, now's the time to share something good!
