Director of Program Administration

Emporia State University's School of Library and Information Management
(SLIM) seeks a personable, innovative, student-centered director of
program administration to coordinate activities at SLIM's Emporia campus
and regional teaching sites in Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver, and 
Kansas City Metro and to oversee SLIM's new international service
learning initiative.  

Requirements include three years of professional experience in an
information organization, including demonstrated successes in project
management; ability to work in collaborative and diverse environments;
and excellent communication and leadership skills.  A MLS from an
ALA-accredited graduate program is required.  This position, located in
Emporia, Kansas, is a 12-month, non-tenure-track appointment reporting
directly to the dean.  The successful candidate will be student
centered, innovative, and experienced in public relations.

Screening will begin September 1, 2008, and continue until the position
is filled.  Preferred start date is November 1, 2008.  Submit a cover
