Each December the Oregon State Library Board of Trustees elects members to their advisory councils; Talking Book and Braille Service (TBABS) and Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). There is one vacancy on the TBABS Advisory Council and four vacancies on the LSTA Advisory Council. The Board of Trustee's bylaws indicate "the State Librarian shall suggest nominees for vacant positions on the TBABS and LSTA Advisory Council, but nominess may also apply in writing directly to the Board Chair." Following this message is a list of the nominees that the State Librarian has suggested that will be going to the Board for a December 5th vote. If you have someone else you want to nominate you must contact the Chair of the Board, Yvonne Williams, via e-mail at: lynpoe2 at aol.com prior to the December 5, 2008 Board meeting.
