There are only 76 days until National Library Legislative Day!  On May 11
and 12, 2009, come to Washington, D.C. and take part in a historical NLLD –
with a new Administration and a new Congress, now is the time to make

In order to defray travel costs, ALA, in conjunction with the White House
Conference on Library and Information Services (WHCLIST), is offering the
WHCLIST award, which provides a stipend of $300 and a two free nights at the
conference hotel to help defray the costs for a non-librarian participant to
attend National Library Legislative Day (NLLD) May 11th and 12th in
Washington, DC.  For more information, click

In addition to the WHCLIST award, ACRL has announced the availability of up
to $250 each for 10 individuals to attend NLLD from May 11-12, 2009, in
Washington, D.C.  Individuals applying for the travel grants must be an ACRL
Legislative Advocate (application to be an advocate will be accepted
simultaneously with travel grant application), be a first-time attendee at
NLLD, and apply by March, 20, 2009. Grants will be awarded on a first come,
