NOLS is seeking a Branch Manager to supervise staff and operations in
its busy, newly remodeled, Sequim Branch.  The Branch Manager provides
circulation, reference, readers advisory, and technology instruction to
customers; plans and presents programs and events for adults, families
and children; performs outreach and community relations activities;
participates in collection management and other system-wide
responsibilities, and works with Friends group and other community
organizations.  

 

NOLS serves the 60,000 people of Clallam County, WA through four branch
libraries, an outreach program and a variety of web-based services.  The
system has 43 FTE and the 2009 operating budget is $3 million.  Sequim
is a vibrant and growing community located in a "rainshadow" area on the
north coast of the Olympic Peninsula, near the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Olympic National Park, the Dungeness Recreation Area, and the historic
Victorian city of Port Townsend are just minutes away.  Cultural and
outdoor opportunities abound.

 

The salary range for this position is $2,706.68 to $3,923.61 (37.5 hr
work week).  Appointment may be made at any step, dependent on
experience and qualifications.  The generous benefits package includes
paid leave, PERS Retirement plan, library-paid medical, dental, vision
and life insurance and an annual supplemental health care reimbursement.
