Code4lib Northwest is based on Code4Lib, a chance for library
technologists to get together to share and create ideas about
innovative applications of technology in a library environment.
Although the event historically attracts developers, it will also be
very interesting to anyone interested in applied technology.

Code4Lib is not like most conferences. The long presentations are only
20 minutes long. The short ones are only 5 minutes long. This format
allows busy people to prepare interesting presentations quickly so
they share their ideas more easily. The idea is to provide nurture a
"hive mind" in a highly interactive environment.

Code4Lib Northwest will be held on June 4, 2009 from 9 am to 4:00 at
the White Stag Building/University of Oregon in Portland. You can
register at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB2295YCQWJ2X

Because of the size of the facilities and uncertainty of interest
within the community, the formal Code4Lib Northwest 2009 event is
capped at approximately 60 participants. Registration is only $50,
which will be used primary to cover lunch and refreshments throughout
the day

More information on the conference can be found at

or submit them to the pnwcode4lib Google group.
