Dear Colleagues,

Below is an announcement for the upcoming WESTPAS workshop that takes
disaster planning to the next step. Don't worry about having the perfect
plan - this is an opportunity to discover what gaps there might be in
your plan by working through a table top scenario and to think about how
we can help each other in the event of an emergency. Hope to see you there!

ARE YOU READY?

Scenario Planning & Collaboration Among Libraries & Archives to

Improve Disaster Preparedness for Collections

Portland: Friday, March 12, 2010 -- Portland State University Library --

9:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.

***********************************************************************

work in a real disaster situation?

This workshop will:

* Help you assess your vulnerabilities

* Build a shared vision for disaster preparedness

It's better we should find answers now than after a disaster has occurred!"

When possible, send 2-3 participants from your library/archive to work
together on disaster preparedness activities:

Staff member(s) responsible for emergency preparedness

Administrator and/or manager responsible for the building/collection
