Just an additional note - that great GCF site is linked, along with many
other useful sites for people looking for jobs, learning to read, and
gaining other life skills on Multnomah County Library's Life Skills and
Literacy page, here:

	I just learned about GCFLearnFree.org
<http://www.gcflearnfree.org/> and thought it could be useful in
libraries. The site provides free tutorials in such areas as computer
training like Excel and email basics , job skills like resume writing
and tips for job searching, math and money basics like figuring
percentages and staying out of debt, and everyday life basics like
reading a map and filling a prescription. They've also just launched a
section for helping people learn to read.

Tutorials are self-paced and interactive, and a few about
computers can even be taken as online classes during which learners get
feedback from instructors and can earn a certificate of completion and
continuing education credits.

All (most?) content is available in Spanish:

The site exists to help fulfill the mission of the Goodwill
Community Foundation, http://gcflearnfree.org/home/ourstory.aspx, and is
endorsed by the Family Center on Technology and Disability,
