Lewis & Clark College seeks a team-oriented Special Collections associate to help in the Aubrey R. Watzek Special Collections and Archives. Reporting to and working closely with the head of Special Collections and Archives, the Special Collections associate is responsible for: developing public services in support of the use of special collections materials, including reference and research assistance and classroom instruction; working closely with faculty to promote the use of departmental holdings in the curriculum; collaborating with reference librarians, the digital initiatives team and other key library staff to promote the use of special collections in teaching and learning; creating exhibits and presenting workshops highlighting special collections materials; overseeing the use of materials by researchers and scholars in the reading room, and responding to inquiries from long-distance researchers. Additionally, the Special Collections associate will work with the digitization of selected materials, and in cataloguing and processing of special collections materials in all formats, and helps to supervise departmental student assistants.

The Valley Library invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Circulation Services Unit Supervisor position. The Circulation Services Unit Supervisor is a key management position at OSU Libraries in an innovative and team oriented environment. The Circulation Services Unit Supervisor uses his/her knowledge of current and emerging circulation trends to provide outstanding customer service for a diverse population of library users He/she works closely with the other two Collections & Resource Sharing Department (CRSD) units, collection management and resource acquisition and sharing, to ensure that library users have the information/resources they need for learning, teaching and research. Additionally, he/she works collaboratively with the Learning Commons service providers and other Valley Library departments as well as the Guin Library at the Hatfield Marine Science Center and OSU Cascades to align circulation services with the needs of the OSU community. The Circulation Services Unit Supervisor supervises 8.5 FTE classified staff and 15-20 student assistants. OSU is an AA/EOE and has a policy of being responsive to dual-career needs.

The Circulation Manager manages the operations of the Circulation division including the activities of the Circulation and General Information desks and the Shelving section. This position reports to the Library Director and supervises 28 employees, including two lead workers, and numerous volunteers. Requires a Master's degree (Master's in Library Science preferred) plus four years of experience in a full-service library, including two years in a supervisory or lead role and some time in Circulation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience enabling the incumbent to perform the essential functions of the position. Salary range is $4,986 - $6,683 per month.
