E-Readers for Everyone: Teaching Tips from Trainers<https://cc.readytalk.com/r/4cwcgi6bolrz>
Wednesday, August 29, 2012 , 11:00 a.m. Pacific time

Thinking about how to most effectively help people learn to use eReaders? Join our webinar on Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. Pacific time, to find out more. According to the recent Pew Research Center report, Libraries, patrons, and ebooks<http://libraries.pewinternet.org/2012/06/22/libraries-patrons-and-e-books>, many libraries offer at least some form of instruction on e-readers and e-books for patrons, including in-person classes, drop-in labs, printed tutorials or FAQs, and online tutorials. Keeping up with the changing landscape can feel overwhelming for instructors. How are library instructors successfully navigating this sea of change? Join this session to hear the instructor perspective on keeping up and helping others.

Mapping Your Impact: A Case from Humanitarian Assistance<https://cc.readytalk.com/r/bgjabk2r0q9q>
Thursday, September 13, 2012 , 11 a.m. Pacific time

Are you looking to understand your constituents better via location info? Do you want to display the breadth of your programs and mission using mapping? Find out how one group quickly, easily, and cheaply built a suite of high-quality spatial applications in this webinar on web mapping using Esri's GIS tools.
These tools can help organizations manage everything from responding to major disasters, to program planning and evaluation, to fundraising and communications. Andrew Schroeder, Director of Research and Analysis for Direct Relief International, will discuss how they used these tools during the 2010 Haiti earthquake recovery effort. He'll also explain how they built upon those tools to collaborate with UNFPA and The Fistula Foundation in the construction of the Global Fistula Map. David Gadsden, Global Program Lead of Esri's non-profit program, will discuss the suite of tools available through TechSoup's partner program, including Community Analysis, a cloud-based application.
