Where: Willamette Industries Seminar Rooms, Valley Library, Oregon State University, Corvallis Campus.
The Oregon Digital Newspaper Program
Description: The Oregon Digital Newspaper Program (ODNP) at the University of Oregon is an initiative to digitize historic (pre-1922) Oregon newspaper content and make it freely available to the public through a keyword-searchable online database. John Russell, the History Librarian at UO, will discuss ODNP's history, demonstrate the features of the Historic Oregon Newspapers site, and talk about where the program is headed.
The presentation will take place on Friday, February 24, from 10:00-11:30, in the Willamette Industries Seminar Rooms on the third floor of the Valley Library (VL 3622). The OSU Libraries Faculty Seminar Series is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served.
