The Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) in Portland, OR is looking for a volunteer librarian to help expand their zine library. They are also exploring the possibility of digitally archiving titles, and adding a barcode scanner for checkout. Committment is approximately 6-8 hours a week.
The ideal person has a strong interest in artists' books, zines, comics/graphic novels, and other alternative forms. It's a pro-bono position, but includes free IPRC membership, three free IPRC workshops per year, a free Zine of the Month subscription, some free copies, and full use of the IPRC workspace and resources, including letterpress and screenprinting studios.
