[Libs-Or] Poll: Technical Services preconference

If the OLA Technical Services Round Table and the WLA Collection Development & Technical Services Interest Group were to co-sponsor a preconference, possibly with out-of-state presenters, at the joint WLA/OLA conference in April, which of the following topics would most interest you?  Would you be likely to attend?


1.       "Moving beyond MARC" - Explore the possibilities for working with bibliographic data outside of MARC, including exposure to a couple tools to help us move beyond a MARC environment: the eXtensible Catalog<http://www.extensiblecatalog.org/> and RIMMF<http://www.marcofquality.com/rimmf/doku.php?id=rimmf>.

2.       "Rudimentary RDA" - Learn about the basics of RDA (Resource Description & Access): what is it, why do we need it, how is it different.

3.       "RDA and Authority Work" - Learn about changes to authority records as constructed under RDA and how to use the new elements.
