Yes, it is Women of Library History Wednesday.

The Coos Bay Public Library owes its founding to tenacious community
activist Agnes Sengstacken. In 1906, she began efforts to form a public
library for what was then the town of Marshfield, backed by members of the
Progress Club. Agnes had helped to found the Club, a literary society and
civic betterment organization, in 1904. It is among the longest
continuously operating community groups on Oregon's south coast.
