*Library & Archives Paraprofessional 4*

Technical Services; Washington State University Libraries, Pullman, WA

The Library & Archives Paraprofessional 4 performs complex duties in
providing serials resources including repository maintenance, physical
serials processing, and bindery preparation of physical serials.
Full-time, 12-month.  Required qualifications:  High school graduation or
equivalent and five years’ experience in the functional operations of a
library or archives, including one year beyond the entry level in an area
of specialization, or an associate degree in library technology from an
accredited program and three years of technical experience in the
functional operations of a library or archives, including one year beyond
the entry level. In an archives, a Bachelor’s degree in History or a
related field and one year of experience in archives and records systems
and their management is desired; additional experience in archives and
records systems and their management may be substituted, year for year, for
desired education.   Preferred qualifications:  Working knowledge of Alma
or equivalent Library management systems; working knowledge of MARC 21
format for holdings standards; working knowledge of automated binding
program (e.g. ABLE); demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment; excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication
skills.
