[Libs-Or] dvd vending kiosks

Jeez. I'll stand there personally and hand out DVDs for that kind of money! (Assuming, of course, that I don't have to dress up like a box. LOL)

How about a DVD "book" cart (suitably pimped a la Unshelved) and a volunteer?

Seriously though, thank you for asking. I'm curious, too.

Subject: [Libs-Or] dvd vending kiosks

We're thinking about adding dvd vending kiosks but are amazed at the prices - 750 dvd kiosk for $29,000 and $4,700/yr maintenance -- NOT. We are having trouble finding vendors - hoping that there is a much less expensive option out there somewhere. The ones we've been pricing all look like clones from Red Box, but I've seen much smaller, less glitzy boxes in libraries. HELP.
