Willamette University is accepting applications for a full-time, one-year temporary, exempt position for a Political Papers Archivist to join the Mark O. Hatfield Library team. The Political Papers Archivist (PPA) will process the papers of former U.S. Senator Robert W. Packwood (U.S. Senate 1969-1995). The Robert W. Packwood papers document the Senator's twenty-six year career representing the state of Oregon in the U.S. Senate and his role passing nationally significant legislation. The collection is comprised of approximately 2,000 l.f. of materials including papers, photographs, memorabilia, and audiovisual materials. The PPA will develop and implement a comprehensive plan, which includes appraising, arranging, preserving and describing the collection. Additionally, the PPA will identify materials for digitization and exhibition as well as provide reference service for the collection. The PPA reports to the University Archivist, will work with Archives staff, the Library Systems Division and the collection donor and will direct student assistants on this project. This is a twelve month appointment with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA invites applications for a Student Engagement and Community Outreach Librarian, assistant professor, tenure-track faculty position. Experience advocating for or serving underserved populations. This position requires a Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent; demonstrated ability to develop effective collaborative relationships; demonstrated presentation skills, relevant to a classroom or workshop setting; demonstrated oral and written communication skills; demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity; experience with web design and use of social media; professional record of scholarly, professional, and research activity that merits a tenured appointment as an assistant professor; interest in and willingness to meet the criteria of, and to participate in, the university's peer review processes for advancement in rank. Responsibilities of this position include a component of teaching/instruction. Salary DOE. Screening will begin on 4/17.
