Jill Slansky, past president of the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center, provides a guided tour of the Holocaust Memorial located in downtown Portland's beautiful Washington Park. The memorial features a stone bench adorned with wrought-iron gating, screened from the street by  rhododendron bushes. Jeannie Opdyke Smith is the daughter of the later Irene Opdyke, a brave and inspiring figure who received international recognition for her life-saving actions during the Holocaust when working for a high ranking German official. Jeannie has spoken around the country   telling her mother's inspiring story of how one woman can truly make an impact on the world. Jeannie Smith will have her book available for sale and signing.
