A recent survey of members of the Virginia Library Association revealed
that a number of library professionals would be interested in presenting
but requested help with the necessary skills. In response, VLA launched the
Presentation Academy, a hybrid of in-person and online workshops intended
to increase VLA members’ presentation confidence and improve presentations
in our region. This Webinar, led by Presentation Academy faculty members,
will discuss the logistics of launching such an Academy, the content we
provided, feedback from our participants, and plans for future Academies.

The recording of the free, one-hour webinar presented on Tuesday, December
8, 2015, 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., CST <http://ala.adobeconnect.com/p9rccm9cry8/>

Presented by Candice Small, Radford University, McConnell Library; Jennifer
Whicker, Radford University, McConnell Library; Nathan Flinchum, Roanoke
Public Libraries; and Lisa R. Varga, Executive Director, Virginia Library
Association.
