Hello,

I am writing to let you know about an exhibit that will be taking place on the University of Oregon main/Eugene campus from November 9-20, 2015 in the Global Scholars Hall building (1710 E. 15th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97403). The exhibit will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. In conjunction with the exhibit, there will be a special presentation on November 19th at 6pm in the Global Scholars Hall room 123 with Professor of History, Jeff Hanes and atomic bomb survivor, Ed Kawasaki; they will talk about the history and aftermath of the bombings. In addition, Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy will attend to read Eugene’s Proclamation for Peace as part of the Mayors for Peace program. Refreshments will be served and it should be a wonderful event!

I hope that this exhibit will be of interest to you. Please consider viewing the exhibit, attending the featured presentation, and/or passing on this information to anyone else you know who might be interested. Both are free and open to the public. A flyer with all of this information is attached for your convenience. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions!

Thank you,
Yen Tran
