The Wasco County Historical Museum has just published a new title:

"King of the Roads," by E. Michael Friend & John Hardham.
   67 p., many illustrations & a colored map of the highway & current
access to it.

It describes the inspiration for and construction of the Historic Columbia
River Highway with many historic photos, some previously unpublished
including one by Carlton Watkins.

Cost of book, hard cover $35.00, paperback 21.95, plus $4.89 shipping and
