Greetings All,

The Library Services and Technology Act Advisory Council (LSTA Advisory Council) is looking for new members. This is a great opportunity to throw your hat in the ring by letting us know if you are interested in serving!

The Council meets twice a year, for a day and a half in May, one day in September, and possible phone meetings at other times. The Council recommends LSTA grants for funding and keeps an eye on LSTA programs and expenditures. It's a three-year term, and travel costs are reimbursed (but not substitute labor).

We are seeking nominees for the following positions, for which terms begin January 2017:

*        Information Technology Representative

*        Library Users Representative

* Underserved / Underrepresented Persons Representative

*        Academic Libraries Representative

*        Public Libraries Representative

Take the survey, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8ZL37Z6, by September 7th to show your interest or to recommend someone else. The opening page offers more information about the Council and what members do. We will contact you if the State Librarian puts you on the ballot.

Call me at 503-378-5027 with any questions you may have.

Thanks,
Ann Reed
