For those institutions that have archives and/or serve as their community's repository for historic documents and photographs, there are several free collection care workshops occurring across the state of Oregon this summer for your consideration.

Topics include:

- Photograph Care and Handling

- Paper Care & Preservation

- Emergency Response and Recovery

- Digitization and Digital Projects

- Textile Care Basics

All five workshops will be traveling to five regions of the state: the Portland area, the Florence area, the Medford area, the Pendleton area and the Bend area. These workshops are coordinated by Oregon Heritage and are made possible by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Workshops are free but registration is required. For more information, a detailed schedule of the workshops and to register visit: http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/Pages/2016OC2CWorkshops.aspx.
