There is now a Facebook page promoting the petition at
https://www.facebook.com/SupportTheMLIS/.

If you would like for ALA Membership to have the opportunity to vote on
this subject then please sign the petition at https://tinyurl.com/ybyqpyw7.

The site is a little odd. After you login you are taken to a page that
makes it look like you are signing the petition if you click on the link.
This is not what happens.. When you click on the link to sign it takes you
to a page with the full petition. On this page you need to fill out your
full name and click the link on this page to actually sign the petition.
