[Libs-Or] playaways, are they worth it?

We are looking for a company with the best prices for front-list author playaways.
Despite the gradual drop in pricing, BWI and TEI are simply too spendy.

CD and MP3 audiobooks are a fraction of the playaway price.
Playaways, however, seem to withstand the abuse from multiple circulations.

We have patrons without e-book/cloud/streaming access and rely on physical audiobook formats.

...open to all suggestions.
