These workshops are generally oriented toward more experienced data users, but it is a great opportunity to hear about plans for the 2020 Census and get updates about other Census data collection programs.

To all census data users,

The PSU Population Research Center has arranged FREE workshops featuring presenters from the Census Bureau and PSU.  Registration is required, as seating is limited.  Wi-fi will be available for those who bring tablets or laptops.

  *   Wednesday, September 20, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, PSU Urban Center, Portland
  *   Thursday, September 21, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, Oregon Employment Department, Salem
Topics include:

  *   Planning the 2020 Census
  *   2020 Census partnerships
  *   Geographic programs and partnerships
  *   Data tools: explore current and preview future tools
  *   American Community Survey:  New datasets
  *   Using the Census Data API with R statistical software
  *   Oregon Population Forecast Program overview
