[Libs-Or] A Day in the Life of a Leader Part 4 with Kelvin Watson: Free Webcast April 20

To conclude our "A Day in the Life of a Leader" free webcast series, we
invited Kelvin Watson of Broward County Libraries in Florida to be our guest
speaker. During the one-hour online session

share his perspectives on leadership positions in the library and
information science field. 

 

Watson brings solid leadership experience to the insight shared during the
first three webcasts in this series. As director of the Broward County
Libraries, he has launched a number of innovative initiatives that have
expanded the community's engagement with the library. Previously, he held
leadership roles for Queens Library in New York City, which serves 2.3
million people and circulates among the highest numbers of books and other
library materials in the country. He is director-at-large for the Public
Library Association and immediate past president of the Black Caucus of the
American Library Association.
