Hi folks – I’ve been enjoying working with LITA to help reform their conference structure and calls for proposals. Take a look! I’d sure love to see more public libraries get involved, myself.

The Library and Information Technology Association<http://www.ala.org/lita/> seeks proposals for the 21st Annual

2018 LITA Library Technology Forum<http://forum.lita.org/>
Minneapolis, MN
November 8-10, 2018

Submit your Proposals<https://goo.gl/forms/WHoPuayRM4SaKbxg1> by May 1, 2018.

The theme for the 2018 LITA Library Technology Forum is:

Building & Leading.

What are you most passionate about in librarianship and information technology? This conference is your chance to share how your passions are building the future, and to lead others by illumination and inspiration. We invite you to rethink your assumptions on presentations and programming. Please see this previous posting for additional details<http://litablog.org/2018/03/2018-lita-library-technology-forum-call-for-proposals/> about the Forum, submitting a proposal and being a presenter.

Remember the Submission Deadline<https://goo.gl/forms/WHoPuayRM4SaKbxg1> is Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Proposals may cover projects, plans, ideas, or recent discoveries. We accept proposals on any aspect of library and information technology. The committee particularly invites submissions from first time presenters, library school students, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. We deliberately seek and strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented groups, such as women, people of color, the LGBTQA+ community, and people with disabilities. We also strongly encourage submissions from public, school, and special libraries.

There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
— Edith Wharton
