[Libs-Or] Article about Curating vs. Dumping

[Dump Truck, Truck, Construction, Vehicle, Equipment]Over the weekend, I ran across what I consider an excellent post on the Cult of Pedagogy blog – “Are You a Curator or a Dumper?<https://www.cultofpedagogy.com/curator-or-dumper/>” by Jennifer Gonzalez. The informative piece highlights the benefits of true curation, touches a bit on related brain research, offers tips about how to curate, provides scenarios of where curation can be applied, and shares some tech tools.

When we think of how curation applies to our work as library staff, we probably think of collection development and weeding. However, it also applies more broadly, like when sharing resources in response to a request, creating a newsletter, developing a website, etc.
