*Please VOTE!*

*The last day to vote in the ALA Election is April 4.*

The statistics on Monday, March 26 showed that only 14.15% of ALA Members
have voted. A very abysmal number.

If you are an ALA member you should have received several messages by now
from ALA Election Coordinator. If you haven't seen one of these messages
please check your email spam.

The message will include a link to this pdf, http://www.ala.org/aboutala/si

Some people have been confused by the language on the ALA Executive
Director search question. Here is the easy explanation:

*Are you confused by the ALA Ballot and how to vote on the ALA Executive
Director requirement?*

Vote YES if you think the MLIS (or equivalent) should be *required *for the
next ALA Executive Director.

Vote NO if you don't think the MLIS should be required

If you are having a hard time with the long list of people running for ALA
Council please remember you have a stronger vote if you just vote for a few
people that you know would do good work on ALA Council. I seldom vote for
more that 7 and this year only voted for 4. You really don't need to vote
for 33 people and you probably shouldn't vote for that many.

This easy tool created by Andromeda Yelton that allows you to view
membership information for this year's Councilor-at-Large candidates. You
can limit to Divisions, Round Tables, sections of the country, etc.,

*Please vote today.*
