The State Library is pleased to offer two opportunities to learn more about the new Gale database resources, Books & Authors and LitFinder. These databases are available to libraries as part of the Statewide Database Licensing Program.

New Gale Resources for Oregon - Overview
There are two new Gale resources available to Oregon libraries that can help you meet the needs of your reading and research users! Gale's Books & Authors is a reader's advisory resource that offers new ways to explore the endless possibilities and combinations of books, authors, genres and topics. With over 150,000 recommended titles, you're bound to find something to please every patron and student! Gale's LitFinder provides access to a wealth of literary works and secondary-source materials covering world literature and authors throughout history including more than 132,000 full-text poems and 670,000+ poetry citations, as well as short stories, speeches, and plays. Join us to learn more while we dig into best practices for getting what you need out of these outstanding resources!

Gale's Usage Dashboard - Enhanced Usage Reporting!
Gale has a new tool for exploring your database usage! This interactive and intuitive dashboard allows you to pull standard usage around sessions, retrievals, searches, etc. but also provides visual results and allows you to dig deeper; for example, you can see the search terms being used in your library, which can aid in collection development!
