Hi all -


Me again. I have been beating my brains trying to come up with a good cover for the Summer OLAQ issue, when it dawned on me... CROWDSOURCING AND SELFIES. THE LAZY MILLENNIAL'S GAMBIT.


Basically, please send me a photo of yourself doing the pose from the classic Rosie the Riveter "We Can Do It" poster (which is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Can_Do_It!). You can dress like Rosie, but it's not required. Just look your confident librarian best (and also, for graphical flow, make sure you're facing to the right in the picture like Rosie is). I will organize these submissions into a collage of powerful, confident librarians who can all mobilize their strengths for the common good!


The photo will be used on the cover of the Summer '18 OLAQ and possibly OLA's online communications. No commercial use. No photoshopping your heads onto My Little Pony characters or something. Full-size .png and .tif preferred, but jpegs are OK if they are sufficiently large and high-quality. Send them to jscheppke at crooklib.org. You will also be credited somewhere if you provide your name, or not if you don't/ask to remain anonymous. Noms de guerre are OK.
