[Libs-Or] Job Opening: Digital Archivist position at OCOM

Oregon College of Oriental Medicine is in search of a part-time,
temporary Digital
Archivist. This position will oversee our LSTA-supported project, Kam Wah
Chung: A Historical Archive of Chinese Medicine in Rural Oregon. This
project will include creating a digital archive of Chinese medical
artifacts from the Kam Wah Chung Heritage Site in John Day, Oregon, which
have been cataloged and translated by OCOM students and faculty.

The Digital Archivist will work closely with OCOM’s Director of Library
Services, Integrative Medicine Practicum students, faculty, and work study
employees in fulfilling this project. The ideal candidate will have
excellent communication skills, have experience building digital
collections, and be excited about helping to document a fascinating part of
Oregon history.

This is a *half-time, temporary (1-year) grant funded position*. The
position is funded through the 2020 fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2019,
and ending on June 30, 2020. The College is located in Portland, Oregon;
the successful candidate may have the option of working remotely.
