..."Miriam and local Reverend Joan Biles started a book depository with
Piedmont Regional Library System. It had a $100 annual budget and was
located in a trailer behind the Methodist Church (now the Seventh Day
Adventist Church). It quickly outgrew the space and a new location was
sought. In 1995 it was moved into a small house without heat or air
conditioning. Local support and continued growth of the library enabled a
new location in 1997 into Auburn’s former post office building, the 1,134
square foot J.D. Withers Building...."
