The Oregon School Libraries Standards Committee, which is part of the OASL,
recently finished a three-year-long endeavor to write Grade Level Learning
Goals for the Oregon School Library Standards. That work can be viewed
here: https://oaslstandards.org.

During the process of writing the Grade Level Learning Goals, it became
clear we needed to make some revisions to our Oregon School Library
Standards
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I3DWTM6tHp_BOiHC1t-yVfqkjY1pm9aL-SqX_e8q0jA/edit#heading=h.ep79ucfsim74>.
We have done that. Now the committee is going before the State Board of
Education to ask that they adopt the revised standards.

Our adviser from the Oregon Department of Education has recommended that we
conduct a survey prior to going before the board. We want to get that
survey out to as many people as possible, so we can get feedback from all
the stakeholders. We are asking for your support to take this survey
regarding the Oregon School Library Standards. If you are a parent, you
may wish to take the survey as a parent, rather than your professional role
- the choice is yours. We are looking for feedback from all parts of our
state and from all stakeholders. Please feel free to share this information
with anyone you feel would be interested in providing feedback.

Thank you for considering this request and for your time!
