Street Books is a bicycle-powered mobile library serving people who live outside and at the margins in Portland. Join us as we celebrate the ninth year of operation on Thursday September 19th from 6-8:30 at Lagunitas Community Room, 237 NE Broadway, Portland, OR 97232.

Emceed by educator and activist, Paul Susi (Portland Actor's Ensemble, Cop Out), there will be a short program featuring author Karen Russell (Orange World, Swamplandia!), librarians and patrons from the season, and time to enjoy wine and beer with friends. The event includes music by Colectivo de Son Jarocho, a raffle for prizes, a Los Gorditos taco bar, an onsite photo booth by artist Julie Keefe, and back by popular demand: the Book Divinator Machine. Put a token into the slot to have a book magically divined for you!

Tickets for the event are here: https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4294762 (can't make the event? Consider buying a ticket or 2 for our patrons, who attend the celebration free of charge)

More information about the event can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2323487791257768/

We hope to see you there!
